NH - Osceola, East Osceola (#17). Welsh & Dickey Loop
Hiking Diaries - Sept 28th & 29th, 2019
Sat, Sept 28th - Woke up really early, packed the car, picked up Chantalle, drove to NH. Hiked Mt Osceola and East Osceola (#17). The hike was difficult. East Osceola is just a pile of rocks, but yay for 17/48 summits! Hung out at the summit of Osceola. Ran into Melissa H-G from Allandale and her husband, started raining a bit. Gave a ride to a “hitch hiking” mom to her car a few miles down the road (she works at the Trustees!), drove to the Fairfield Inn in Concord, NH - checked in, showered, got in bed, ate a tuna wrap, watched 127 Hours, went on reddit, went to bed by 9ish (I was sooooo exhausted and my knee hurt).
Sun, Sept 29th - Woke up super early, took a shower, ate cheerios at the hotel breakfast (no veggie sausages or potatoes!!!), relaxed in bed until 9am, drove back up to The Whites, hiked the Welch-Dickey Trail with Chantalle which was supposed to be easy, but we were exhausted, so it was super difficult. Didn’t feel great. Drove back to Boston - stopped at the NH Welcome Center rest stop.
